Joined Telstars:   1974

Teri has her school teacher to thank for being involved in Theatre. Because she couldn’t read very well, her teacher advised her to ‘join a drama group’, ‘that will help give you confidence’, she was told. Teri’s journey with Telstars has been very varied, it has included prompt, props, acting, stage-managing, directing (and falling out of her attic!).

Teri has been Secretary, is now Treasurer; is Chair of The Glamorgan Drama League and on the Executive Committee of the Drama Association Wales. Teri says has known the excitement of winning a National Festival, Directing a play through to the British Final of One Act Plays, performing for foreign Ambassadors At The Cockpit Theatre, London in a World Premiere, participating in Florida Theatre Conference AND being offered a part in a film while she was there.

Teri has also known the disappointment of missing her favourite work to date, The Crucible, (due to the afformentioned falling out of her attic incident). One of her most treasured possessions from Telstars is a ‘Diary Room’ DVD made especially for her when Telstars toured Guernsey in 2005 with ‘The Return Journey’. How right that teacher, Miss Williams, was!
